WEB NAME: SkinMarvin
AGE: 34
LOCATION: Wakefield.
JOB: Designer (for print and web).
PARTNER: Been seeing me lad (Dave) for almost six year’s now.
PROFILE: Suppose I’ve been pretty boring for a while (getting on!), got fed up of hanging round the scene, Sheffield is crap as ever, Manchester seemed to have lost its charm, Leeds never really did much for me and Brum is too far for me to be bothered gettin there and back.
So I go out with my lad, you can bump into us up in Wakefield, or stay in watch a movie, have a ‘bud’ n that.
Spend far too much time surfing the web, been almost everywhere, guess that’s why I ended up building my own site. It didn’t start out that good, never though it would get as big or as popular as it now is, but then someone has to be
.
Don’t get me wrong I’ve been around the block a few times and had plenty of fun on the way.
Drop me a line if you fancy buying my a drink and I’ll let you know if me, or me and Dave are up for it!

SkinMarvin’s New Look Website – Under Construction Now!…
Welcome to the beginning of the new look SkinMarvin website. The old site has been around for a while now and needs a bit of an update, need to move on from the framed layout too, to keep-up with modern technology and all that…
I had a long hard think about it and decided I wanted to do something similar like a Blog site with all the recent post automatically coming to the top, simple design and that. A mate suggested that I just use one of the Blog software options out there, so I had a look and experimented with a few and finally decided that WordPress gave me all the options I needed.
Enough back-end well built PHP stuff to run the site and enough access for me to customise the site my own way. Plus there is the added advantages that come with software like WordPress, such as having 1000s of other developers working on tools, widgets and plug-ins that can be use to enhance the site.
WordPress should make it easier to manage the content of the site, add new stuff, give you guys more options for feedback and open-up new opportunities for the site, such as forums and auctions and loads more…
So here it is, well the beginning of it anyway. I’m working on moving over the content for the old site, which will still be around for a while yet, until I’m happy with this one.
Have a look around and let me know what you think, try out the search box at the top and watch this space for more updates…
