POST I thought it might be useful to start a terminology of skin phrases, words and slang which can often be confusing/conflicting depending on where on the scene you are.

    I had cherry red boots in early 70s at school. And bleacher jeans were called just that back then!

    POST The language changes with time and location. One of my freinds from Glasgow (born in 1968) has “Docs”. I have “DMs” (at secondary school 1976 to 1980 in High Wycombe), in inner London boots were “Cheery Reds”. Will be intersting to se what words appear here – for example “Bleachers” for your jeans seems to be fairly new and Gay Skins only.
